Five years
Five whole years
Five broken years
    Of sickness
    Of near-death
    Of coma

I will not let myself fall ill again
    He did that to me, they did that to me
I will not allow them to break me
    The way they once broke me

I will close my eyes
I will close my thoughts
I will be silent
I will not be ill
    I refuse to be ill again
    My determination will prevent it.

I desire healing
    Therefore I introspect
I search my power within myself
I warm my heart
    And let my heart warm others
    And heal myself

I desire healing
    By healing others
    And feel peace in doing so
