DEAR DIARY

DEAR DIARY

***

"Every day is a page to write a new story".

***

Sunday        I wasn't sure dear diary, would I find a new home here
Would this be a permanent place to live without leaving

Monday      This morning I greeted them with a smile so wide
Hoping they would accept this frightened, tiny me

Tuesday      Hello diary, my little sister does seem subdued
Like me she doesn't speak, but she seems quite wise

Wednesday Dear diary, my father is indifferent, avoiding me
Does not treat me like family, more like an assistant

Thursday   Quick scribbled note today, my mother wants my healing
From illness and from gayness, She's praying every day

Friday         I spoke to my social worker, I cannot live there anymore
The care for me is too hard, they want me to go away

Saturday     Hello my quiet friend, today writing is so painful
I packed my things and leave, can't speak, too broken

Today         My sister wants me with her, she fixed a room for me
She loves me and embraces me, I think I will go

Tomorrow I will have a home, and I will start brand new
I will make this work, my diary, we turn this page, you're blank.
