Night And Day - Collaboration with White Wolf
Night steps from behind the building
Its dark complexion blends in with the asphalt
It's the hour after hours where nothing
likes to face him... such lonely existence
He beats the cobbles beneath with his feet
But only hears his own heart pounding
As he walks past a vacant car lot
He sighs at its emptiness so familiar now
The reason why escapes night's understanding
This mortal fear of him, who lives in darkness
They run if haunted by Death himself
Why is day so much less threatening?
The gripping truth so hard to ignore
Once this soaring spirit had claimed the sky
But the darkness protruding ever close
He lifts his head as if someone has called
Night gives up, darkness washes over him
The creatures of the day don't want darkness
His sadness seated deep withdraws around
the next corner, dawn is coming
Blinded by the oncoming light he saw
The sun for the first time with new eyes
But deep in his soul an ancient urge
Would draw him back to his original birth
The gripping truth so hard to ignore
Once this soaring spirit had claimed the sky
But the darkness protruding ever close
He lifts his head as if someone has called
Night gives up, darkness washes over him
The creatures of the day don't want darkness
His sadness seated deep withdraws around
the next corner, dawn is coming
Blinded by the oncoming light he saw
The sun for the first time with new eyes
But deep in his soul an ancient urge
Would draw him back to his original birth
