Terror

night is a predator with teeth
like gnawing knives

raw sharp pain

open mouthed faces

stilled in silent screams
paralyze a disintegrated mind

freedom is a stranger
a maimed soul 

chained by night terrors

a blabbering particle of a person
sprawled on the freezing tiles
covered in perspiration

facing faceless demons.
