LOVE ONESELF

I am learning how to love myself

By loving him

Learning to find myself

By loving him

I never knew a home

Never knew the word worth

What dignity meant,

Respect or integrity

I am learning to see myself

Through his eyes

Learning to love myself

Through his eyes

They taught me the meaning

of deaden

Of drugging me

to oblivion

I am learning to feel myself

With his touch

Learning to accept myself

With his help

And slowly unfurl

Relax, be quiet and uncurl
