EXPOSED
Sitting on that bed
So vulnerable and exposed
With the prying eyes ogling
Up and down
This open gown
I'm seemingly composed
Didn't hear a word that's said
This scarred and fearful frame
Scared for any touch
Would like so much
A hug to hide the shame
That openness reveals
They say that over time
The deepest wound heals
So please please cover me
Don't pity me, but give
Me my clothes
But I suppose
You need to know first how I live
While I look like I ceased to be
See this small person, really see.
