VALLEY


So much sun and green and little houses there.
In perfect dreams that’s where
I’d like to be.

Sitting on this hill, looking far, far down and see
How like the little ants we are, we crawl and wind,
Like the little ants that find
My feet, and without shame go their way,
Carrying loads, not inclined to pay
A second of attention to those warm red roofs below.
Listening music, time and world being slow,
Or even stops while sitting here,
Near, no,
Cannot keep
Myself from falling asleep.

Sitting against this tree and see so far, so free
Is where I’d like to be
