BECOMING

BECOMING

Thinking about what must be accomplished
Is as being Sisyphos climbing that mountain
Stubbornly persevering maintaining
Dignity, but with pain inside, paralyzed

Not able to do otherwise, utterly alone
And doomed so to eternity facing that load
Of hate and anger, inside turned to stone
And feel it slipping from your hand

Turning your insides into burning pain
And mind splintered into smithereens
As that stone that tumbles down again
Stubbornly going back, blind, unseen

Is Tartaros my final destination my hell
Or will you stop being bystander, reach out
Stop looking and remove those shells
From your eyes. Speak for me, out loud.

And make them understand I am not alone
There are so many, many more of me
While I bring what was my heart, now stone,
Again high, and high, and high again..
