TREESOME

TREESOME

I walked, my legs not showing
Their absolute knowledge
Their undeniable truth
That one moment of ongoing
Defeat, forgiving the self
One glance at branches so strong
It will not take long.

I slept, my mind not knowing
Walking that tricky edge
Between here and there
Where to refind myself
Faint murmur of soothing
A beep beep, voices, stay strong
We will not take long

I wheel, my legs still wondering
Moving in close, carefully stretch
One hand, bark, not frightening
Breath escapes shivering forgiving
Myself, or you, tree
They wilfully unmade you strong
Together we'll prove them wrong.
