The Strength To Carry Yourself
The strength to carry oneself,
is not seated in the back, they say,
not in the way you carry yourself, they repeat,
not seated in a number of vertebrae.
Pain we feel
is all in the mind, some convey,
not in the limbs, or the skin, they'll insist.
It's a figment of a weak spirit!
Show strength, show spine, stand upright
man yourself, boys don't cry, boys don't feel pain,
they cause pain... they say.
In armor strong the flesh is weak,
the spine may be crushed,
but the spirit is unbroken.
they state
Did anyone at any time try to understand,
without prejudice, or
have a somewhat open mind to
the world not being able to be solved
with positive thinking?
The strength to carry oneself
varies from person to person.
it's not a given, it can be learned,
with great pain
over time.
And if not, embrace yourself,
let someone embrace you
for you did not fail
you are simply human.
