UNSPOKEN BUT WRITTEN

UNSPOKEN BUT WRITTEN

The sound of pen on paper
Is so loud in my silence
Like rustle in the wind
Screech of a raven
Small words run away
From my head off my mouth
Through my fingers in the ink
Chirp of a bird in staccato
Little sounds to white
Write Write Write

The soft sounds my mouth
Likes to make but cannot do
Little thingies stuck somewhere
Crying of the pen, howls
On the paper, devastated ink
Running as a fountain in great
Haste with enormous emotion
Words that halt and halt behind
My white teeth, pen on paper
Unspoken but written
