THE TASTE OF LIFE
Drink the hot life with eager lips,
The cold fingers blow warm,
The shallow feelings cherish,
The deep deep fear hide away,
The raven of despair send off,
Say never again, say it, again.
Eat the grapes with sharp teeth,
The dripping pear with leaking juice,
The sour, sour lime bittersweet,
The mist in whirlwind send away,
The bird rising from itself.
See it fly in blinding colors.
Eat with ten feeling fingers
The food given to you
The tantalising teasing
The lips opening to take in
The final taste of life
And rise, and fly, and live.
