RIVER

RIVER

Meandering transparent ribbon of pure cold.
Whirling companion, such confusingly refreshing white gold,
The road adjusting itself to the water's strong will. It lives
Its  stubborn life, only so partially able to be contained;
Often it takes our lives, without it we die, it gives.
