MY SOUL

MY SOUL

I never look into my soul
It's dark there, worlds of anguish
I never have been whole
So sure that I will perish

Some others care about my core
I wonder what they'll find there
They seem to worry, and therefore
They are allowed, if they don't tear

My carefully built front apart
My face toward the outside
What they may find might be a start
So let them be my life guide

I want to be, I want to live
So give me what you found here
And in return for that I give
My heart, my soul, without fear.
