Smile at me, I can see it in your eyes
Behind the display of compassion
The display of cool composure.
Smile at me, my softness is genuine
It doesn't hide a wolf inside.
My outstretched hand is asking
For help and friendship and longing


Your almost hidden smile guarded
And wary of my curiosity
How come you wear a crown?
Who do you think you're trying to be?


I cannot get my wheels out of the mud
I'm stuck, so if you help me
I will kiss you, because I want to
Because I want to feel your silky hair
That dances in the autumn breeze
Because I want to touch your lips
With my tired, muddy hands


Smile your compassionate smile
Be curious, why am i here?
Make a crown of twigs for me,
The boy who wants to steal your heart.


Don't stand there, smile at me
Don't stand there, use your lazy arms
And lift me, so my green eyes
Can meet yours and smile and flirt
