STORM

I was away for a while, the dreams
Do stay, the castle, safe, stands near a bay,
With windows high and strong.
And nothing bad leaks through the seams.
It holds me safely till it’s day,
Although that sometimes takes too long.

The trees outside, such lengthy arms,
They beckon me come and join, they wave,
I greet them, go outside.
The last of today’s sunrays soft and warm,
The walls behind me protective and safe.
Lift me of my chair, tree, let’s ride.

The wind blowing hard, raging and wild,
Branches around me securing and strong,
Storm blows away my fear.
It rages inside me, give me back, I, child,
Command you, you held me for too long.
Return my life, everything I hold dear.

The tears of pain I once wept,
The tears of fear I always kept
inside? No more! I snapped.
No more! no more! Too long I slept. The tears of pain I once wept,
The tears of fear I always kept
inside? No more! I snapped.
No more! no more! Too long I slept. The tears of pain I once wept,
The tears of fear I always kept
inside? No more! I snapped.
No more! no more! Too long I slept.
The tears of pain I once wept
The tears of fear I always kept
Inside? No more! I snapped
No more! No more! Too long I slept.
